Frequently Asked Questions
Apart from carrying systems (bags, holdalls, pouches, etc.), what other products and sub-components can you make?
In fact, we manufacture thousands of small textile sub-components and finished products in addition to the many carrying items. The list is long and varied, including complex strap assemblies, mesh products, sweatbands, cushion pads, protective panels, and bespoke fasteners or specialist clips — many made with technical materials. We use a variety of processes beyond stitching, including RF welding, injection moulding, heat pressing, and foam routing, to name just a few.
What’s the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
This varies depending on the materials and complexity of your product. Typically, our MOQ is 500 pieces, though it can be as low as 100 for high-value technical articles or trial production runs. We’ll include MOQ details in your project proposal so you’ll always have a clear understanding before moving forward.
How long does the full development process and production take?
Timelines vary, but we move efficiently. A straightforward project can take just a few weeks, depending on design, prototyping, and production needs. Production time typically ranges from 4–12 weeks depending on factors such as specialist materials and availability. We’ll map everything out with you from the beginning and keep you updated throughout. We’re also happy to give you a rough idea during an initial call.
Can you help with design if I only have a rough idea?
Certainly — that’s our speciality. Whether you have a sketch or just a concept, we’ll help bring it to life with design input, material suggestions, and practical advice to get it production-ready. Some customers simply send us a photo or samples of similar holdalls or rucksacks, and we use that as a starting point.
Can you make a sample item first?
Yes — we always create a prototype before full production. It’s an essential part of the process that allows you to test the product, give feedback, and ensure you’re 100% satisfied with the design and performance before we move forward.
If you need further changes after the prototype is made, that’s absolutely fine. We recognise that prototyping is a collaborative loop, and we work closely with you to refine the design until it meets your needs.
Do you do everything in-house?
All our bespoke solutions are designed in-house in the UK. Manufacturing is managed through our wholly owned subsidiary, established specifically to oversee production, source materials, coordinate delivery schedules, and ensure smooth logistics from factory to customer.
Given the diversity of bespoke products we produce, we work with a trusted network of manufacturing partners across the UK, EU, and Asia. This gives us the flexibility to offer local or offshore manufacturing depending on project requirements — always with full control over quality, materials, and lead times.
We tailor our approach to meet your operational, technical, and commercial needs.
Can you handle shipping and logistics?
Yes — we manage logistics in-house and have extensive experience shipping directly from our source locations to the UK, Europe, the USA, and North Africa.
Our dedicated team handles everything from production scheduling to freight and customs clearance, ensuring smooth, tracked delivery with full visibility.
Our pricing usually includes freight and duties – or not as you prefer.
Can you help with packaging or branding the products individually?
Yes — this is the perfect opportunity to promote your brand. We can develop custom packaging for individual products, including printed cartons, branded labels, instruction leaflets, and colour-coded inserts.
We can also advise on materials, layout, and how to align your packaging with logistics and sustainability requirements.
What can you do to customise our existing products?
There are many ways to help you stand out while protecting and carrying valuable equipment. For example:
Equipment holdall life cycles can be extended with tougher rip-stop materials.
Safety-critical bags may benefit from reflective printing and hi-vis colours to improve visibility in hazardous environments.
Holdalls can be enhanced with closed-cell foam nests to better protect internal equipment, or moulded waterproof bases for wet ground areas.
The Rip-Clip quick-release mechanism can be integrated for enhanced safety and functionality.
Small safety clothing parts can be improved with higher-performance materials that meet or exceed industry standards.
Whatever your product, we’ll find ways to add functionality, increase value, and elevate your brand.
